End of something special
Yesterday me and my lovely girlfriend decided to call it quits after 9 months.

It was never easy being a long distance relationship while I was at uni, but because we were so well suited it seemed ok. Everything seemed to be going ok til a few days ago when I could just tell she wanted to end it. Its upsetting really because its not me its the situation. I could really tell it was getting her down and I would rather see her happy and not with me than dragging it out. Still I always had high hopes for this relationship because we were so well matched...we still are.

Arghh. I'm not as bad as i thought i would be though.

Ben i just want to say i've been in completely the same situation. Went out with my once best friend just before she left for uni at the other end of the country. We were on and off for 3 years but long distance is too hard, it really takes its toll, so we too broke up at the end of last year. Who knows what the future will bring though.

I know how tough long distance is too, me Kelli.. couple of thousand miles, unknown quantities of water and many sharks stand in our way

Jamin ben there 4 times m8 - every time I saw it coming yet I found myself powerless to say nay nay & thrice nay. If it's meant to be then it will happen when distance is no longer a barrier to seeing each other. The only thing is by that time me thinks you or she will have moved on. Focus on your studying then see if you can get it on with her when you get back for the summer knowing that come the autumn your holiday romance will have to come to an end as Fresher week beckons. Give me a HooHar soldier drop to the floor & hump that Fresher 200 time ! Nooooow

Sorry to hear that mate. I can completely sympathise. Niki splitt up with me about a month ago. Long distance is bloody hard, hopefully you'll find some nice young tottie to keep you satisfied.

im sorry to hear about ur gf breaking up with u m8.... i know all about the realities of long distance and i fully sympathize with u but as these guys have so colourfully pointed out ' life goes on'

Finally said our goodbye's yesterday at foo fighters concert. Was a nice end
She cried, bless her. Left on really good terms, definately staying friends. Now i need to find a summer girl
