Who from gS plays this? id rather touch a leper than this game

I played the demo & found it so foul that I formatted the hard disk before having it whipped by an industrial magnet . The drive is now encased in cement awaiting my next trip to Cornwall where hopefully I will be able to locate a sink hole in which to deposit the contaminated device.

the demo was on the worst map in the game, the full game is very good.

I am with spit and Wud altho I knew I would hate it, just from the screenshots bland is something I would say describes it that and muddy and shite. Still each to their own. Admit it spit the format was more to hide certain movies from your better half mate

Granted, the demo map was crap and titan mode is a bit shit, but the rest of the game is great fun, It's bf2 without the jets in a futuristic setting.

Bit stupid of them then, release the worst, ugliest piece of shit for a map in the demo.

Yea was stupid, but the game is still very good on certain maps and I will bet any money it will play better than QW.

To be fair Craig says its bf2 without jets in futuristic setting. I like it being set near present, and **** it i like the jets too. BF2 is the definied article. Just needs a few touches to make it daddio.

bf2 was great and it got ****ed over by some shit patches. BF2142 is solid fun though, you should not discount it.

I always said this would be shit and that the bf series would go downhill after their stupid treatment of bf2.. I wouldn't touch this at all. I'd rather wait for QW which looks better and won't have the same shoddy patches behind it.

As i think i've said before, tried the full game on a top machine at i29 full settings, etc. and still looked like dire shite. Didn't like it myself, but each to their own, some people do, some people don't, as with everything.

No, the point being that if they had held it off for like a year and had success with BF2 and it's patches then people would have been more inclined to try the next game made by them.

They had success with it and plenty of people have been inclined to try 2142.. as they did with with special forces beforehand

Too many people buy this shit (ok, it might not be shit [Though I really don't like it myself] but it's nothing different), which is why the PC is so dry at the moment, and probably will be for a long time (with the odd good game or two a year).

It's gonna go on and on and on, because of games like this.

The 64 player fire fights in BF2142 are excellent. YES it is a BF2 mod (in my eyes) but it is great fun. People buy this as there is not anything else of a similar ilk. Quake Wars is just too far away from release to wait for and at the end of the day QW will be very similar in game play.
