Battlefield 2: Armored Fury Interview  by James W at 09:14

PC
FiringSquad have had a chat with DICE Canada lead level designer Tom Galt about their second Battlefield 2 'booster pack', Armored Fury.

FiringSquad: How did the concept for Armored Fury come about?

Tom Galt: When concepting the Booster Packs, we spent a lot of time browsing the forums for content suggestions by the community. Something that came up again and again were new theaters, and the USA was at the top of the list. This was a great fit for us; after spending the last several years making levels in the Middle East and Asia, everyone on the team was eager to explore other settings. I think people are a little bored of fighting over oil now, and an invasion of America by the Chinese and the MEC really mixes it up and keeps the experience fresh.

Had to laugh at the answer to the first question. Do they live in a bubble where they only read good reviews ?

Hmm has anyone watched the video of the PS2 / Xbox version of BF2 in action ? The map in the screenshots of AF is the same as the one included in the console version.

Hmm, those answers just don't seem natural, like he doesn't really beleive hwat he's saying. Maybe it's just me being synical. But you're right, Euro Force is the second biggest piece of shit in the BF universe (right behind bf:v )and EA must know it, quite why he thinks the reaction was "overwhlemingly possitive" is beyond me.

Most of his answer just revolved around what was included in 1.3 (for free) Hardly a selling point of AF is it ?
