Well well welll another World Cup over and England are coming home 2nd Class all the way i think, if i w as them id check the WAGS in as luggage aswell. From what i saw of the game today Robbo and Hargreaves were the best on show - TBH i cant believe of al peopole both Frank Lampard and Stevie G missed their Pens they were just play awful - when for club they would be smashing them in - y/day they tried a shity placement and both screwed up. As for Wayne Rooney that kid is going to be gettin some shit when he comes home..... But he will bounce back and still be Englands no 1 striker. Theo Wallcott AT LEAST got a holiday and what a waste of a ticket that was - The hype machine for England is aways in overdrive, but yet again we are coming home after Pens p.s C.Ronaldo is bound to come home to some serious shit - i wouldnt be surprised if he signs for ReaL sooner rather than later now.. In the next few months he will prob have his cars smashed up and paint-stripped & his house bannered by England hooligans... If that was bad enough hes then got to return to pre seasoon training to the site of mr Wayne Rooney pps FOOTAGE OF THE WAYNE ROONEY SENDING OFF VIA BBC

They deserve to come home imo, tin pot manager with negative tactics which showed in the way england played. Yes hargreaves was motm easily. As soon as Rooney was sent off you could SGE was going for penalties, fcuk that shit. We are useless at pens...shoulda just gone for the win, all or nothing. Since France 98 I vowed never to watch another shoot out concerning englanding and Im glad I didnt last night. ps yay for le bleus

There always has to be a scapegoat in this type of thing, but although i agree if Rooney was still in it for the pens then i may of turned out diff (same could be said for DB), i dout it will be him, hes too good a player for people to get pissed at.
my moneys on spen/ becks as nether of them will be in the contry, and are more convinient.

I like watching the England games but I'm not a massive footy fan so not that annoyed we are out. However it is annoying to see the way we go out, and a lack of teamwork and consistency in talents we have in the squad.

Utter crap football.
Hargreaves was our best player when we were defending, but Sven shouldn't of even been playing him. First half when we were actually trying to win the game Hargreaves did **** all to get the ball off the defence - as he should be doing as the holding midfielder- which meant we lpayed shitty long balls. Carrick would of been MUCH better and we would of seen much better football first half.
Then Rooney... **** Rooney an overhyped petulant kid. Yes he's good but his stupidity pretty much laid to rest any thoughts we had of winning other than the lottery of shoot-outs. Yes Rooney is good, but he's just a player like anyone else. We're good enough (or should be) without him. All he brought to this WC was a red card.
EDIT: and France to win please, be nice to see the old French masters pick up the trophy.

Yea I see ur logic there... we played really good football against Ecuador with Carrick as the holding player.
Another terrible tournament from us, we deserved to go out. From 1 shit manager to another as well, at least we havent got that fool as captain anymore though. Hopefully McClaren will drop him and play someone useful

I can't say it was entirely Rooneys fault. It didn't look like he put his stud in the blokes testies on purpose. If the ref was gonna give him a red card for that then he would of shown it straight away.
It looked like he was sent off for the shove on Ronaldho really... which is really harsh. I could see why Rooney was getting so pissed off too... although he never meant to do it, Ronaldho ran in shouting at the ref to give him a card. Correct me if I'm wrong but they're not allowed to do that are they? they get carded for it.
Ronaldho got away with it though. The wink to his manager when he walked away from it wasn't too helpful either. What a ****.
I know Rooney shouldn't of reacted but I don't think he was entirely acting like a kid. I think anyone would of acted the same if they saw some shit running to the ref stirring shit. He shouldn't have shoved him but getting sent off for it is way OTT imo.

The kick was accidental, i dont even think it warrented a card, the push was dissent which as far as im aware is a yellow, not a straight red. I dont think rooney had done anything else in the game which meant he should have gone straight to red. But im not blaming the ref, or ronaldo. Football is like this and we almost pushed beyond that. The formation + the squad picked didnt help. Owen being sent home early didnt help too much either. Its just one of those things really.

Yeh I agree with most/all thats been said, shit manager(s) making shit decisions and good players not playing to anywhere near their potential cost us. Rooney shouldnt of been sent off imo, was a yellow for sure. But tbh FIFA are a fooking joke, the ref was imo biased and made a lot of suspect decisions, never should an Argentinian ref reffed one our games imo. If I was reffing an Argie game I'd no doubt be biased to the other team, our countries in terms of football do not get on at all, everyone knows this.
Also Ronaldo... what a joke, again FIFA are absolute pussys, so many times players have gone out with the intention of pissing players like Rooney off on purpose, and it was SOOO obvious what he was doing. Its not exactly sporting and not what the World Cup should be about, if you have to do that to win games you shouldn't be in the World Cup, but having said that is Rooneys Acillies heal, his agression and temper are what make him such a good and determined player but its also his biggest weakness; he needs to sort it out or he will always be targetted in such ways.

We are capable of winning all the tourneys we enter, belief is one things that's needed and they seemed to have that this time, but also bottle is a requirement, and too many of our players lose it at key moments.
