nearly every console port is shit, even the PC version of Halo was shit. GTA was good, but GTA3's port was utter crap on the pc.

I thought GTA 3 on pc was pretty good. Halo on pc was such a damn letdown.

GTA 3 was awful on the pc, it had crappy console graphics that you couldn't change proper resolution, and stupid controls that you couldn't bind properly.

Aye, Ive liked all of the GTA games on PC. Always run smoother, had the option of using a steering wheel, better graphics, mp3 player, other than that pretty much the same imo. And its not the only one I can name, it was just an example. ¬_¬
I also liked Halo on PC, again didnt seem much different to xbox version except I could use mouse and keyboard (although most conversions have sluggish mouse response, its still better than shitty Console controllers) better graphics, smoother, more guns, easier less laggy multiplayer.
Imo, potentially PC's are a MUCH better platform for gaming and we should all want as much money spent on PC gaming as possible. But that isn't going to happen because consoles make more money for companies involved and are a lot easier to program for.

I really liked SOTC, but I didn't really expect any less from the creators of ICO. I'm forgetting what their next project is, but honestly I'd watch those people... They have a different idea of how games should be made than about 95% of developers out there, i think.
