Razer DeathAdder Review
Performance is what this mouse is all about, and boy does it perform. It's taken me quite some time to tweak it to my liking and different surfaces certainly seem to need different settings as you might expect. Of all the half-dozen or so surfaces I have tried it on, I much prefer the way it's large Teflon feet glide on a good old cloth matt, it's sensationally smooth and highly accurate with it.

Nice review Craig , This is interesting in that I bought a MS Habu ( designed by Razer ) when my MX500 died & I switched my G5 to my wife's PC ( which is really my second gaming rig lol) because I missed having two side buttons . I like the weight of the G5 but the Habu has nicer sensor control , wheel movement and the buttons on the side which I prefer to the wheel toggles on the G5. I must check the glide differences tonight...

I was a big G5 fan, until the micro-swicthes on mine started to get inconsistent, had to buy another one

The DeathAdder is a great mouse though, so good my G5 is gathering dust.

i only changed from a 4 year old ms explorer 3.0 last week to, you guessed it, the new version of the ms explorer 3

Great mouse (the ms explorer that is) and the fact ive used the same type of mouse for going on 5/6 years i doubt ill ever change it, im just so used to it!

I used explorer v3's for years and years before moving to a G5, that took some getting used to.

The DeathAdder is better than them both though.

I still use the MS IntelliMouse Optical 1.1 - a mouse which must be 8 years old at least.
Still works perfectly to this day. Having said that, with my new rig I'm thinking about getting a sleek sexy new mouse, and I'll deffo have a look at this one

nice review, ill be getting one of these soon. Had an mx510 for ages now, been comfortable and always loved the side buttons but the shiny plastic on the top makes me sweat like mad. deathadder seems perfect in every way.

Now - I'm aware that asking such a question pretty much volenteers me for 'Sweaty Invertebrate Ikky Gamer of the Year' Prize - but I would like more on the whole idea of sweat and mice and so on. The traditional beige bakelite mice of yore were punnishing to the slick fingertips of a marathon session of Duke 3D, and anyone who hasnt encountered Mouse Jam simply hasnt gamed for long enough. I even know - not me - gamers who have ended up with rashes from truly epic RTS sessions. How does this one hold up under enurance conditions?
Yours - and yes you canstill shake my hand - D.

It's great, strangely my hand doesn't sweat much whilst using this.

Had problems with mine unfortunately, having read (and then experiencing) the lift-off distance problems I flashed the firmware on the mouse. The recommended solution if you read around, and while it appeared successful, after I re-plugged in the mouse it's now dead lol. I'm following this up with Razer support at the moment.

receieved my deathadder about an hour ago now and i absolutely love it. the feel of it is like no other mouse ive had (the mx510) accuracy of it and the pure amount of ways to personalise it to how you want it is unreal. 10/10 well recommended mani.

Glad you liked yours, I'm still going through the support steps.. rather slow going. I'm tempted to ask for a refund as on second thoughts I've really like my mx510 so will probably like the G4 too. The G9 is looking a bit weird.
