Xbox Sells 5 million in Europe  by Craig D at 16:09

XBox
Microsoft today announced that it's Xbox console had now sold over 5 million consoles in Europe, and now almost 20 million worldwide.

This apparantly gives big Bill about 29.5 percent of the console market. 7 percent up from 2003. It's unclear as to wether this is Europe only or worldwide.

Through the December quarter, Xbox sold 19.9 million consoles worldwide since launch – 13.2 million consoles in North America, 5.0 million consoles in Europe, and 1.7 million consoles in the Japan and Asia Pacific region.

The second interesting figure, perhaps more so to use here at gameSlave where online gaming is our focus, is that Xbox live now has in excess of 1.4 million members worldwide.

Wouldn't that %age figure be bogus though, since many people own more than 1 brand of console...or maybe they're taking that into account somehow.
