I've just looked at the prices they've released for it, 130 quid for the instruments and NO GAME, 50 quid rrp for the game (so 40 quid on play.com). 170 quid for the lot? I think the words "get fooked" come to mind.

It's not so bad if you have a load of mates that all chip in together to get it but for playing alone it's a very high price (I knew it'd be about that as it was the same price in $'s) Then again, the game's not meant to be played alone anyway ! It is great fun though.

You do know the dollar is worth half that of the pound right?

Personally I expected around 100-120 tops for everything, not double the costs of the US version. It's probably cheaper to get it imported WITH tax and customs included, im not impressed.

Yes I know the $'s half the £'s worth but since when has anything in the US been different to the UK ? It's ALWAYS been $50's and then £50's.. or $400 for a console and then £400. Why do you think people import ?

its not quite an exact science i think you'll find

Games are 65 dollars in the us i think, we pay 40. A 40gb ps3 is 400 dollars atm, we pay 280 with a game. While its obviously cheaper in the US its not quite as extreme as the same values

Erm I dunno where you're getting your prices from, but if you look at the big US stores like circuitcity etc they're all $240 for the PS3 as well. I bet you're looking at Canadian or something.

You could always import rockband like my mate did. It's region free for the ps3. Not for the 360 though.

I had looked at importing at one point but hoped it wouldn't be too expensive in the UK, how wrong I was.

Oh and it is 400 dollars, check gamestop.com (they arent exactly a small retailer )
