what i want to know is what will happen if only 50% of the server have the maps, will it skip it or just kick everyone, eather way its arse.
IMO they should give them aways free, as they already have had £40 per person for the game.

It'll be the same as Ghost Recon.. you can't join if you don't have the maps / expansions. If you join and they change map to it you get booted out.

So if you dont pay £5 after the £40 game you get punished... nice

If the maps don't become available for PC a custom mapper will most probably make them anyway. There's already quite a few customs that ain't bad.

Don't understand these companies making games then charge people after a while to get any bonus stuff, complete c***s imo. Especially if you play online with a 360, have to pay out just to get the poxy thing online.

Doesn't take too long to make a new map, with a team behind you, and considering the millions of pounds profit these guys make (especially on cod4!) I think its not too much to ask for free maps for the PC, and they should be released at the same time as on the consoles. Probably costs less than a $100k to make all those maps.

I would wager it cost a lot less Ben, as there was a message on the 360 version for the last 2 months advertising the mapping tools, with promos that the best player made maps will be added to the game.

So they probablely just cleaned them up, fixed bugs etc and maybe added a map or two of there own.

The first set of those screenshots looks just like the singpleplayer level anyway. Ghost Recon on the 360 has loads of people hosting games without the map packs and expansions so I never had problems getting games on there, I would imagine it'll be the same in this. Not everyone will have them. It's still a crap way of doing it I agree, look what happened to BF2 when they seperated the community 3 ways with vanilla bf2, special forces and the other addon.

Carentan was an awesome map though, I have no problem with them bringing it back! There was another awesome map on Cod1 but I can't remember the name. Was set in a village like Carentan.

Carentan was awsome, best cod1/2 map my miles, casino was very good too, the one with the two tanks each side of the map.

chinatown looks class. harbor and dawnville were my favs from cod1, carentan always a bit easy.
