New Team Fortress 2 Map  by Craig D at 10:25

The latest Team Fortress 2 update has now been released and for a change actually adds a new map, CTF_Well. As usual, simply restarting steam should apply the update.

# Added new capture the flag map CTF_Well
# Added Spanish map descriptions
# Added new option to auto-save a scoreboard screenshot at the end of a map to the Multiplayer->Advanced dialog
# Added more particle optimizations for mid range and low end hardware
# Updated CP_GravelPit to fix all known exploits and changed the scoring method to score per capture rather than per round
# Updated "nextlevel" CVAR to trigger a changelevel at the end of the current round (not mini-round)
# Fixed SourceTV demo recording problem
# Fixed mp_stalemate_enable not preventing Sudden Death mode on some maps
# Fixed a couple cases where player stats were not being recorded correctly
# Fixed some log entries being truncated
# Fixed crash caused by trying to import a custom player spray
# Removed the "Reset Stats" button from the Player Stats screen

TF2 been real stuttery of late - lag spikes everywhere and I know its not just me wo has noticed it.. Drives me bonkers some times.

Do you ever think it will be possible for ppl to play against other systems as in pC and Xbox on the same server??

Ive talked 2-3 ppl into gettin it of the Xbox and they really like it, id love to be able to play on the same server as them

That'd be the worst idea ever. They did that with Quake 3 on the dreamcast letting you play against pc users. It ruined most of the servers. You could just run rings around the controller-console users ... literally. There's no way in hell they can turn and react as fast and it became a joke.

Stuttering in TF2 ? Nothing's been happening for any of us playing in our games. I think it must be the server's you're playing on.

i believe u will, was talk about ut3 doing that cross platform but in the end it was 2 hard cos of the diff in code or something.

ut3 has keyboard and mouse for ps3 btw

yeah but console users will be mostly used to using the controllers hence only the pc gamer types will use the mouse and keyboard and you'll still get all the people that can't aim 'cause they're on a console meaning the pc users will either A) go there just to completely own them or B) not go there at all as it's too easy

damn my internet being knackered cos i wana play this baddddly.

is the map good?

though saying that, i could swear i remember having played on ctf_well pretty much as the game was released...oh i dont know.

it was CP_Well the one in TF2. CTF_well is how it was in TFC. It's ok, they need to work on it a bit though. It's just a stopgap before they release the next batch of proper maps in the coming couple of months anyway.
