Wii Selling Six Time Faster Than Playstation 3  by Craig D at 21:15

The Beeb has in interesting piece of console sales figures in Japan, the home of the console after all. It would appear that Nintendo's innovative but technologically dated Wii is outselling the Playstation 3 by an absolutely huge margin of six to one.

Nintendo sold 270,974 Wii consoles last month while Sony sold 41,628 PS3s, according to Enterbrain, a Japanese publisher that tracks console sales.

Of course this is Japan so the Xbox 360's sales figures were even lower. It's still early days so I guess the only thing that' safe to say is that the Wii has been a huge success so far.

I love my Wii, but now Nintendo need to deliver quality games. We've all weathered the deluge of rushed ports, I only hope now that the true star games start to emerge.

I agree other than zelda the wii aint full of classic games, however I have spent a small fortune on the virtual titles like super mario world, fantastic games that are even better than I remember.

ive had a wii in my house for months and wasnt even aware of the fact Even tho i know its there I still dont even play it - as my house mate is always on Zelda

My mrs has said shes goin to buy me one for my Birthday - but the only place ive know to have them in stock since December is Dabs.

I love my Wii. There were some stock problems lately though - I had to order mine from Woolworths in the end and wait about a week for it, but I think they're back in stock in most high street stores now. I have Zelda, Wii Sports and Wii Play. Shortlist for next purchase is either: Trauma Centre, Mario Charged Footie, Big Brain Academy (missus will like that), WarioWare Smooth Moves, or Tiger Woods. Not sure what to plump for - the games absolutely bankrupt me.
