I've posed a review of the NOVA eSports Raider mouse mat tonight, it's a mid sized mousing surface that feels like a cloth pad but tracks and glides more like a harder pad.

The mat also features a channel across the bottom and right of its surface. Nova call this an alerting frame, the idea is that you will feel the depression when you're moving too close to the edge of the surface and adjust before sliding off the mat entirely, it works quite well, but obviously isn't as useful for a left-handed user.

It costs just under £10 and might be right up your street if you like a smaller mat.
