Microsoft Signs HD Movie Deal  by James B at 15:30

According to GamesIndustry.biz, Microsoft have signed a deal with major TV and film companies to offer downloadable content through Xbox Live. According to the report Xbox Live will have over 1000 hours of content by the end of 2006, including films and series like Superman Returns and CSI, all in standard and high-definition.

They would need ALOT bigger hd, i am sorry but if they think a 20 gig hd is enough for downloadable Hi Def content they are having a ****ing laugh. A proper hd film should take up at least half that hd if not all of it. Still a nice idea but I think I will keep to buying the dvds etc.

I very much doubt it craig, how about all the extras and the fact people like to keep the disks. Not to mention the fact most isp's now have very strict download limits, doesnt alow you much room to download hi definition movies. No atm I cant see this as more than a fad or nice idea, I dont like paying for things without getting a hard copy etc.

Yer download caps is a point. But 100gig HDD will be available soon wont they? Still not a huge amount of space considering the size of HD films though.

yeah or do what I've mentioned in all the other numerous stuff about the xbox hdd size and use a cable so you can transfer stuff to your pc.
