HD-DVD 360 Undercuts PS3?  by Craig D at 00:46

GamesIndusty.biz has a piece of rumour based on some retailer feedback that speculates the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive and an Xbox 360 console in a bundle will still be cheaper than a Playstation 3 to buy when they become available later this year.

Deliberate move to undermine Sony? Or, do gamers really want high-def movie play back on a console anyway?

Thats the advantage the 360 has, with a seperate HD drive customers can choose whether they want their console to be HD ready or not. Don't get that with ps3, you're forking out for HD whether you want/need it or not.
