Shacknews have the results of their 2005 game of the year poll online.

I won't spoil it for you, let's just say that a lot of the readers of this site will be pleased with the overall winner.

tbh kotor 2 was a really really poor game so shouldnt be in that list at all, fable was far better. I enjoyed fear but it got repatative, i would have put cod2 and bf2 above it but i am glad bf2 was in the list anyway.

id love to know how the hell they worked that one out ( see below) bf2 comes second in its own category yet wins over all very strange

How FEAR was first in the PC category I dont know. I thought it was pretty average.

FEAR had the best action. The weapons, AI and slow mo made the game. I agree with it being best action game but as we all know, that's what saved it. The game got far too repetative as Stan said.
