I assume the tech gap between Xbox2 and PS3 will be much smaller than Xbox and PS2...that'll make it a somewhat more difficult decision. Amazing tho that only now are games being released that could only run properly on the Xbox and not on PS2. Sony did a hell of a good job!

I'm pretty sure id have said that Doom3 is only coming out on Xbox because PS2 simply can't handle it. I'm not bashing PS2 - I have a PS2 and not an Xbox

...sorry, forget to mention: The Xbox (technically) is way ahead of the PS2 (or at least, that's what I've read), so I'm very impressed that PS2 games are still able to keep up. It's amazing comparing games that came out on the PS2 in the beginning and those that are coming out now. Even games in the same franchise (Gran Turismo, for example) have sequels on the same platform that continually stun.

When you compare the specs its amazing the ps2 games are as good as they are, though clearly the hardware is used very well

i cant think of the last decent game on xbox or ps2 that hasnt come out on the pc. gamecube was the only console worth bothering with imo. Nintendo always have, and always will make the best console games.

Think i dont like about computers is they are not group friendly. You have all your mates round and u wanna have a bash on Pro evo, you can't really do that on a PC. Consoles are nice and fun. However yes i do agree with PC's are normally better because you can PATCH them! *Driv3r* I hope both these new consoles allow for patches so consoles can actually have a fighting chance against PC's

Yeah, thats more down to the location of the PC I think. As for patches, id rather they got it right first time at least consoles (in theory) force them to do that
