Heya I just acquired myself a nice new shiny nokia n95 phone with wifi and 5mp camera etc etc and I was looking online at ways of streaming media to devices and came across Orb at www.orb.com. Just thought I'd post to say how useful and cool it is. It's totally free and just requires a program on your pc that creates a website for you to log into and you can stream everything from movies, music, pictures, files, even down to viewing your webcam from anywhere lol. It's pretty pro and will work on any device that can access a webpage which means watching movies is now possible on my phone without requiring a huge memory card to store it all on. Check it out. It's worth a look. It also works on the Wii as well.

What's the phone like? I'm looking for new one soon.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

The phone's amazing. It's so fast with multitasking, it's got bluetooth, 5mp camera, wifi, infa-red. Click on the more details button on the right of the link Wud gave you and there's a video showing it's functions. At the moment I am using that orb program to stream movies to my phone then hooking my phone up to the TV with the provided cables and my parents are watching Lost downstairs It's the best phone I've had and I've had a fair number of them. The camera also takes amazing quality pictures for a phone. Here's just a quick shot to show the picture quality. You can record video's with the camera at 35fps too and those are clear enough to display on a big TV and look good. I'd defenitely recommend it for you to at least try out in store or something.

Oh and I forgot one of the major things. It has a full GPS mode in it including voice directions (which you have to subscribe for for £5 a month) but you do get free access to any maps you want either by installing the whole country onto the phones memory or by letting the phone download the map for the area you're in through wifi or GPRS. I have the full map installed on there (it's about 100mb of the memory card) and it works really well - comparible to the GPS in my dads car with full access to finding local points of interest, adding your own notes on the maps, direction support to street level and even switching from walking mode to in car mode so you can get directions by foot or main roads etc - usefull if you're in a new town and want to find a local restaurant or something. It even has phone numbers for buildings if you click on them on the map.
The GPRS mode works like google earth too, starting with a big view of the world and zooming into your location or one that you're trying to find. I was impressed with how good the GPS was. I thought it might just be tacked on there as a bonus.

yeah that requires you to upload it though Shag. Orb lets you just stream anything from your pc without needing to mess with file at all - you just select something to watch or listen to etc and it does the rest.
