Same as bri + liam, waiting for Warhammer online, but playing BF2/BF2142 and some other games (cod 4 is a possibility if i find my dvd case)

Sigh don't make me install 2142 again. It's like a half-hearted BF2 (yes I'm still bitter over them ruining 'my' game)

They didnt ruin bf2 at all, they just took too long to release a patch, you probably just used it as an excuse to run off to WoW.

2142 isnt half hearted either it's good, if both were released at the same time I bet more people would of played 2142. Just because you can;t fly around gaying people while they spawn all map doesnt make it a bad game

haha waited for that reply. I woulda still been playing bf2 to this day if they didn't introduce that gay crap instead of fixing things. I still play PRM which is getting better and better still. Everyone knows 2142 was rushed out to beat Quakewars - which it appears to have done...it's just not a BF2 game to me It's a good shooter and nothing of the same scale

That being said it's probably the only shooter worth playing online at the moment - bar PRM, so I gave in and am installing it again.

What did they introduce that was crap apart from no vehicles(which you could avoid by not going on the servers). PRM is just dull, too slow.

Has the titan mode been fixed in 2142 does anyone know

lol not again, personal opinions and all. Read the other threads if you want too. PRM is a slower paced game yeah but I enjoy the tactical side to it, I love all the sneaking around and tactics as a contrast to the faster pace of Bf2 and 2142. It mixes it up more. BF2 was out after wow though, I quit wow to join you guys and then rejoined wow after we all stopped playing...which is when I showed it to Liam and Bri and Hob as well. wow is dying now though...age of conan is awesome but I gave that up 'cause I didn't want to lose another 4 years or so to an mmo again. There's not many games out at this moment that I really want to play, but there's some great looking ones coming later.

Titan mode was fixed yes, on ff off servers its full of demo pack noobs tho

There's a couple of new maps too in the latest patch, don't like the remade wake island one though

new joystick ordered (funny because the Microsoft sidewinder joystick i have isn't supported)

which sidewinder do you have? I've always used the sidewinder forcefeedback (old style - gameport not usb) for BF2 and 2142 with no problems.

never used a joystick in 2142, I hardly ever fly though

I don't like flying in 2142 either. It's a completely noobed up flight model compaired to BF2 and there's no 'feeling' to flying, just hovering around etc

Aye 2142 is mostly an infantry game, this is why I like it
