It's a joke, in this day and age it we should be aiming for games themselves to become cheaper, not more expensive

They have been around this price for about 15 years, they arent going to change it now when its more popular than ever.

Its still pants, what ever happened to Firebird and mastetronics budget games from the 80s, ahhh £1.99, some damn good playability in them there games as well, anyone old enough to remember the spectrum game released by Firebird, called " OH SHIT"? or was it oh bastard!, too long ago

Yea I remember paying 1.99 for the budget games. I also remember watching someone pay 49.99 for sonic the hedgehog in 1991. 52 pounds not that much in comparison to sonic price back then.

Either the PS3 will blow us away or flop totally as it would need to be something special with the prices being thrown around.

The Xbox 360 games were £49.99 on launch and the Nintendo 64 games were the same. All consoles are really expensive at that time so I'm sure the games will drop pretty fast like in March when it's available in Europe. Still, that's a lot of money on any console but people still pay it.

Is seamms like people are not making any PS3 news into bad news, like grant says 360 are £45 when they come out a year after the consol is out but no one complains about that.

No, I think it's a ****ing disgrace any games are this expensive, regardless of console. And actually there are two reasons I don't own a 360:

a) There's not games I want on it
b) New games are £50

So it really makes no difference what console it is.

They're £34 now for new 360 games.

Fairly hard to justify the high costs, the manufacturing process for the physical disks is piss cheap, what your paying for is some idiot who took 3months to design the case, 3months to design the CD cover, and then the monkeys who designed the game full of bugs..

I mean if they reduced them to even £30 on release their sales would go up expenentially and and proficts would rise along side them.
