I'll start us off then. I think it's right Becks has been dropped, he played poorly in the WC and was too flatfooted to make a difference. Lennon outshone him every time. Having said that, Becks still has passion and skill so i really hope he doesn't retire from internationals but pushes his game again and becomes a focused player.
Not sure about all the new lads but Phil Neville? fs he's a pony trading off his brother's name.
Also be interesting to see if Lampard gets dropped from the first team. In my opinon there has to be some way of both Lampard and Gerrard playing in the same team. They both had a shit WC but once they click they're 2 of the best in the world at what they do.

I would play Gerrard on the right, Cole on the left. Lampard and Hargreaves in the middle. Rooney + 1 up front. 4-4-2

as you know im not a footie fan, so id say shoot the lot and let some random pub team play, the'd probably do better than the pro's

Gerrard and Lampard can't play together well in the middle at all cos they both wanna get forward. Mani suggested playing Gerrard on the right and Lampard in the middle, that sounds good.
Beckham shouldn't of been dropped imo. Nearly every goal in the WC for England was either scored by him, or he set them up and got the assist.
Looking forward to see what Steve McClaren and Terry Venables can do with the team.
Greece on Wednesday! Come on England!

I think he has done pretty well with the team, dropping Walcott back to <21 is spot on. New forward lineup could be interesting.
Question is (in the long term) Would you rather have Carrick at the back of midfield or Hargreaves, both are good at their roles but completely different. Might see quite a big squad change depending on what style of team we are playing. Rooney Had an awful, awful, awful world cup (even he admits it) So lets hope he can calm down and play well with a nice 4-4-2. I will admit sven's formation didnt help him. Lennon - what a star, so much pace its unbelievable. The whole Gerrard Lampard debate will rage on for a long time i think.

Decent squad apart from Phil Neville and Kieran Richardson. He has cleared out the older players like he should have. It's About time Beckham was dropped, he is awful now, Lampard or Gerrard can take free kicks so theres no real use for him anymore.
As for Rooney, he plays best dropping off another striker so playing him upfront on his own was just ridiculous.

Midfield finally clicked and we saw movement from Gerrard. First friendly i've enjoyed in a while, can start to take a bit of pride in the side again.

He is hardly covering himself in glory is he. I'm still gutted they didn't employ O'Neil anyway.
