Which console would be better Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360

Whichever console has the largest number of good games will be the best. Bear in mind that Microsoft have a full years head start.

It will all comedown to the games,

by time PS3 comes out x360 will have a solid game base + a price drop or two, so the PS3 will have to pull a rabbit out its USB port .

PS3 will own it specwise but if your into specs but most people dont care about that and if you do then your gonna get a PC.

I also wouldnt put to much into PS3s blueray as MS are plaing HDDVD for 360

Xbox people hav better developers eg. less japaneasey (unless ur into them types of games). The ps3 is more powerful. Whether the ps3 can use their power for more creative uses, thats a different story. If you look at the 360 graphics at the moment; there only mildly better than the original xbox's (considering you dont have a HD tv). Bluray disks can store lots more than a dvd but i rekon if the ps3 were to use this to thier advantage - the games would take years to develop - this means that the ps3 might show its true colours only towards the end. Also bluray disks are more expensive. Ultimately, as the development time goes up (and the quality of the disk) so will the price of the actual game.
Time will tell which will be better but halo 3 is coming out with the release of the ps3 and the xbox prices are set to lower too. This will create a price margin which should be considered when buying. Again, only towards the end of the life of both consoles - will the margin settle.

At the end of the day I think the PS3 will come out better because they have far more (and better) developers on their side.

Sony have always made their selves out to be the cooler choice and completely owned the market with the PS1 and PS2.

They have the advantage because they've got far much more Japanese talant behind them. We all know that the Japanese have the upper hand with games at the moment. Games like Devil may Cry 4, Metal gear solid and Final fantasy (and even the remake of FFVII which will most likely MAKE the PS3).

Although I like my 360 and PC, I can't wait for a fresh of breath air in games instead of all this silly American and British crap that has been coming out recently.

Tomb Raider sequals, Battlefield sequals, HL2 addons, mods, plugins, tshirts, caps, dog coats. It's all getting a little too much for me now! The PS3 will most likely change all this just as the PS2 did.

I'm not convinced PS3 will bring the unique titles you are talking about ralinn. MS also have Japanese developers like Sony. While I can't see MGS on the 360 but it's pretty likely the new FF will make it to the 360. If you want something different go Nintendo not Sony.

The new nintendo looks pretty sweet The controller looks just plain wierd - goin to cost about £100 pound sowhich is a bargain

Don't think the PS3 will cut it but people will massively buy it anyway because of the previous successes.

Yeah, thanks to EA (which is american CRAP), and Final Fantasy is a different game every time. New characters, new story and battle system.

PS3 will bring more unique things because you won't see many developers trying something new on a console that doesn't sell that well anywhere but in America and the only people who make money out of Nintendo is Nintendo so you'll be waiting for a killer game every year.

I'm not saying that Sony will be clearly better, just that they are the ones that are gonna be top of the market :/

I'll play anything that has good games.

Ive been lookin at gettin a new phone contract the trend with current suppliers in the back of the papers is they offer a PSP or now even an XBOX 360 - but tbh I cant be arsed with either

i think there is little or no competition with the original xbox and the ps2. Supose its more a case of preference. If you prefer arcadey kinnda japanease style games - go 4 the ps3. If you like british/american long sort of games - go 4 the 360.

i still say the xbox is for people who would be pc gamers if they knew how or if they had a decent pc [or in the american case, if they wasnt so damn stupid]
I dunno which console i will go for tbh probs all 3, but i am a pc gamer and always will be.

They arent remaking FFVII [as it stands] hundreds of pettitons are being sent to the developers requesting it but at the moment its only in "consideration"

chances are their will be a remake but you wont be playing as cloud :/

They didn't say they were not going to do the remake. But when asked about it they said although they could not give a definate answer, it is possible due to the demand and that possibilities are being examined.

You would be wrong. It's mostly people who do know about PC's that have one. People who don't know about PC's tend to go for sony as they did with the PS2. It's the "cool" choice.

As if Rusty, the xbox is just a console that does poor imitations of popular pc genres. As for the 360, that just does poor games in every genre.
