Actually it's not an isolated case at all. There are a lot of complaints about the elite, and they're all the same issues as the 360 had. Believe it or not, it's all the same hardware that the 360 prem/core is.

my 360 did that to my GRAW2 disc and i went ape shit but it still worked so its just a lof of noise really.

I don't remember mentioning the PS3. I posted some info on the Elite, what the hell does it have to do with Sony? Maybe it'd be different if I posted something about the PS3's hardware failing?

Face it, just because I bothered to buy a PS3 for the future, I'm labeled a fanboy on anything negative I post about the xbox. I think in reality, it's not me acting like the fanboy.

Can't match the graphics? Motorstorm looks better then any racing game on the 360. Name some games that can be run at 1080p for the 360. There are very few. The PS3 has shown that it's just as good as the 360 in the graphics department. Remember the 360's launch? Are you saying the graphics on those launch titles were all the 360 was capable of? All the PS3 needs now are more games, then I'll be more than happy with my PS3 purchase and have both PS3 AND 360 games to play.

Now Now guys we should encourage success & Sent has been out spoken but never boastful so if he has £110K+ to spend on a car well good for him .
I have friends who drive around in similar cars & they flog them every 12 months & loose bugger all on them , net result is they drive a car most of us cant justify buying & it actually costs them marginally more than a new Merc CLk to run .

The rub is that their £100K isn't appreciating where as yours truly would rather stick the capital in another house but each to your own & guys you only live life once ...

Job: Im head of IT for a finance company.
Car: f430's cost 175k but you lease them for £1200 a month, which is affordable to a single guy like me. nobody buys a ferrari like you said its not financially a good idea. Except the rare ones like an Enzo or the really old ones as these are worth double what they cost from day 1.
They truly are the best car going. a SLR is comparable but a clk is not. i can go 120 mph round any roundabout or corner. things like that dont show up on stats, so unless youve driven one you would never appreciate why a ferrari is renowned as the proper racing car it really is. have a go at least once in your life and you wont look at another car again.

Again you don't know what you're on about though, mate. You don't know me at all so all you're doing is assuming everything. I don't bitch about every other console, I only bitch about the 360's faults because I've had so much shit with mine in the past (but you didn't know that did you!). I bitch about the PS3 (although not in this thread, mostly in irc) having no games for me; I have nothing to play on it atm because I've already completed Ridge Racer and Resistance. So I have to wait 'till pretty much July for the real good stuff to come out.

The guy is filming putting the game in the drive to show everyone a fault it has. It's not some conspiracy, although again you'll probably say it is to try and sound smarter then everyone else... There's also so many people out there getting 3 red lights (hardware failure) when switching it on for the first time. I don't feel threatened in the slightest, again none of you own a PS3 so I'm the only one with a non biased opinion. I don't feel I done the wrong thing by buying one at all, do you want to know why? Because the type of games that are coming out in the future for the PS3 are my kind of games. I love the look of Heavenly Sword, Lair, MGS4, DMC4, Black Site, FFXIII, FFvXII, Little Big Planet god knows how much more and the future of the rest of the Final Fantasy's. If you want to put your blinkers on and get with the rest of the pointless Sony hating community then I'd like to laugh in your face. At least I have more consoles to play on then you.

Why don't I bitch about my Wii, PS2, Cube and Xbox, Sent? Because I have no reason too. The 360 has given me (and a lot more people here) nothing but shit. I've had to get it repaired 3 times and on the occasion it still crashes on me. The hardware (though powerful) is a pile of shit, but the games for the 360 are fantastic.

I love SONY i have many many sony things. I caused a small war at work when i changed all phones from nokia to sony's
SONY hardware is quality, the TV's they make are second to none, i have 4 sony mobiles and this cool watch If i was a PC fanboy I wouldnt have a wii, 360 and 2ds's and Ive never had any trouble with any of them. Being honest there must be something about the way you use them to have 3 break as 99% of them are totally reliable.

You didnt put UT3 on the list of PS3 games that is the only game that would interest me. it also supports keyboard and mouse on the ps3 which was suprising.

There's nothing wrong with the way I treated the 360, this has been discussed and everyone who had issues with their 360 (pretty much 50/60% of the people who actively use this forum) told you exactly the same as I'm telling you now. 99% is also a very random and BS stat. The amount of issues that have occured with the 360 have been HUGE, it had and still has major hardware problems and MS even admitted to this. There will always be people saying "there's nothing wrong with mine" but the fact is, there's a huge number of people with problems, far too many... and it looks as though the Elite is the same, as it's using the same hardware the 360 is, so obviously the problems will carry over. Believe me I wish I didn't have any issues with my 360, and I wish the elite had no issues. If the elite had more features to justify it's price (and less of a chance of the thing cocking up), I'd most likely have pre-ordered it.

As for UT3, I can't be arsed with it anymore... a lot of the trailers I've seen of it have looked very poor. I'd also probably not buy a game like that for a console, I'd stick to my PC for an online FPS like that unless there was a very good reason for getting the PS3 version over it.

If 60% of 360 were faulty they would be recalled, it would be illegal to sell them under the sales of goods act. its published fact about the reliability of the 360 you can see how many are sold and recalled. for you to get 3 faulty ones in a row is less likely than you winning the lottery.
