Sony's Shadow of the Colossus has swept the board at the highly regarded Game Developers Choice Awards in San Jose.
The critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 title took home five gongs voted for by game makers, including the Game of the Year award.
It also walked off with Best Game Design, Best Character Design and Best Visual Arts, as well as picking up one of three innovation awards.
The other two innovation gongs went to Nintendogs for the DS and Guitar Hero.

this is one of the best games i've ever played, nothing comes close to feeling as epic.
btw grant, hope u bought a ps2 not a psp to play this.

It's one of the best games I've played. Pitty DMC3 didn't get anything though, that deserves a little respect too.

dunno about you guyz but it luks a bit japanesey/"i love sony" to me, alrite graphics and gameplay but let down by the shitty computer animae

its the "japanesey" bit that i like, if its japanese Adventure game, then you know its gonna be a long hard game to play, ive always felt more satisfied after completing games like FF7,8 etc etc, coz the storylines are so indepth which does make for better gameplay......but thats just my personal opinion....But this SOTC looks soooo sweet

wouldent mind a pc port of this game, saw a trailer for it in town earlier at dixons and it looked pretty sweet

Although I play my PC more then console... I really hope this doesn't come out ont he PC. Mind you it won't it was deved by Sony.
BTW Zig, there are 2 bad points to this game.
1. Framerate.
2. It's short.
But don't let that put you off. It's a powerful game, a great story line and has a great twist. There's alot of replay value thog so I gues you could double the play time.

hmm, still not convinced. I could see the attraction - maybe 4 a 1 off but im not into all that japanesey style gaming and i am yet to see a japanesey style game which im relatively interested in.

I was gonna say, I bet that runs a bit shit on a ps2. Loosk pro though, but im not gonna buy a ps2 to play 1 sp game. :] Why dont you want it to come out on PC? You mad? Will be essentially the same game, same characters + story etc, but with much better graphics, better controller and better framerate.

When people port console games to the PC they always do a shit job of it. Look at most capcom games that have been ported. As you said, you would expect it to be the same but with a better framerate or a higher res. very rarely that happens because there's not much money in PC gaming... especially if it's for a console title so the developer wouldn't put any time into it. Straight port, shit controls (there's hardly any real support for controllers, it's always rushed so it works on the most basic ones) and most likely buggy as **** with latest graphic cards.
