Anybody manage to catch this yet ?

Highly entertaining film done in comic strip style, really gory in parts aswell but I loved it.

tbh this is how the dick tracy film should of been done years ago.

No ryan it isnt, there is nothing groundbreaking in it, anime has been doing it for years.

What i said was this is how Dick Tracy should of been done ie comic book style.

It does look good though, the way they've done it. Kind of half looking CG characters.

Definitely wanna see it.

no shane it is brandnew tech. 3 Films this year have used this brand new tech, sin city - sky captain and the world of tommorow and a japanese/chinese film called cashern.
They have done blue screen before but never this. Everything you see in the film is put together, they dont film the actors with any backgrounds or props or even any other actors. Everything is digitaly put together. Go google it !
Yes i know u meant comic book style, but they teck wasnt here to do it like that untill very recently. Plus from what i remember dick tracey was awfull, had madona in it so chances are pretty high it was awfull anyway

oh aye abs, its meant to be best film of the year so far. Will have to wait for it on dvd.

All my friends were bursting to see it bar, me. then when we walked out they were all dissapointed and i was raving about it for days.. ahh the irony. I loved it

best film iv seen in ages. kept very, very close to the comic books. frank miller plays the priest in the first film who says raurk to marv. im gonna go and see it again i think

my m8 recons its good so ima watch it when i go see war of the worlds

It has hookers with shotguns and fishnets in it! Though i'll never look at the LOTR hobbits in the same light again, Elijah Wood was nasty as hell in this film.

Really stylish, i think like Pulp Fiction it is going to need watching a few times to pick up all the details.

Mavrik and i still meet once a week in my new office and chill out online, our current game is Neverwinter nights, we haven't touched TFC or CS for quite some time now. I'm doing a lot of Neverwinter design for a multi-server group with clustered hosting, it takes up a couple of hours each day.

Things are good though, just another few months of finishing the house with my wife and i'll be able to really relax and have fun. My office has four pc's set up nicely and i'm designing a chair/cockpit with pedals and a steering wheel for playing GTR with.

I haven't spoken with any of the old TFC/CS guys for yonks, i was in touch with Markymark up until 18 months ago, Barog i last spoke to two years ago, Shaggy has disappeared and is working with Gamespy online i think and as for the rest...not sure.

I thought about clanning again a year ago, but FFS, it got so hectic with Snipers Alley and after two years of 15-20 hours a week of it, all i had was an enormous pile of emails that were largely grief, complaints, whydidntigetagames and so on, from clan members and UKTFCL referee's.

Hope your allright m8, the old days were the best. I'm still pissed about the spanner screenshot though.

I had planned to get into that, had such fun with the demo and had even planned to get a momo steering wheel for it, then I saw Battlefield 2.

No reason why u couldn't use the momo for Tanks, APCs and jeeps. Desk might get a bit cluttered with the joystick, keyboard, mouse, and steering wheel tho
