Managed to watch this last night and I enjoyed it, some nice stunts and effects. Anyone else seen it yet?

went to the late showing after gettin back last nigth - Only 6 other ppl in the cinema as well

I actually thought it was a pretty good movie - goes without sayin it was way better than the 2nd one

This one wasnt just all about Ethan so a bit less of a vainty project for mr cruise

not a big fan of the 2 prequals & cthe clips ive seen for this dont look too impressive so think i'll wait for it to come to dvd before watching unless me mates wana go watch it at cinema then i'll tag along

I'll probably see this. There's good and bad movies, then there's popcorn movies. This sort of thing is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon with some friends.

Before ive even seen it i can tell im not going to like it purely on the basis its got Tom Cruise in it :/

I am pretty sure that is what he is saying yes, and to some degree i agree with him, the guy cant act and is a complete nutcase. His off screen persona is now so big it overshadows his poor performances, so that you no longer [if you ever did] see the character he plays. You just see the gay alien loving midget he has become.

I agree apart from his acting. I think his acting is fine. I showed that in WOTW's.

Man he was SHOCKING in war of the worlds, he tried to prove he could act and was a "normal" dad but i didnt buy it for a second. War of the worlds would have been alot better if they had got some one decent in to play toms role.
There isnt a character i see him play where he is anything bar tom cruise in it.
He aint as bad a actor as say Van Damn but he is still pretty damn poor.

Each to their own at the end of the day, but i have never liked tom cruise as a actor and never bought into his films. As i said earlier he is a movie star not a movie actor, just like brad pitt and all that lot.

Bradd Pitt can act tbh stan, agreed he's not always great, but he can be very, very good indeed.

I can name 2 films where brad pitt is a good actor and both are directed by David Fincher, seven and fight club. Every other brad pitt film i have seen him in he is a movie star and not a actor.
I think his performances in seven and fight club are more down to the fantastic direction of fincher rather than the talent of brad pitt.
His acting seems to be getting worse the more famous he gets, although tbh that seems to be the way of things as people cast them to be the persona they give off rather than a character in the film.

I think Pitt's charisma carries him through most films very well. He is a good actor but i think its more his personality in the role he plays.

I think saying he is a "good" actor is being a tad kind, he is a passible actor in most of his films at best. Edward norton now there is a "good" actor.
As ben says look at most of pitt's film's it aint him acting its his charisma, look at oceans 11 and The Mexican, its all about his charisma and smile not his acting skills.
He aint a utter crap actor but like most movie stars its more about his off screen persona than his acting ability. He is a movie star that is cast to make people come to see the film not because he is a good actor, like tom cruise.
He done a decent performance in snatch, but apprently people who actually know pikeys say he is nothing like them and his accent is nothing like theirs either.
