as i am a noob do you guys reckon this pc is any good?:

300gig 7200rpm hd
radeon 9800pro
p4 3gig

Well I know if it was mine i'd be ultra happy.

Safe to say you could run any/most games with that set up.

Whats the brand of the items out of interest ?

Maxtor 300GB 7200RPM Hard disk, with additional mounted extra fan
2GB Ram DDr 400 - Including RAM cooling elements ontop

some bloke made it and i just have to configure the harddrive(im getting help with that) and install the operating system then off i go

Cant argue at the price though. Although I am sure somebody on here would be nearly 400 quid for a gffx card alone.

Slightly slower to access yes, the more ram you add, the slower access speeds get. All very marginal to a point, but above 1gb you migt actually begin to notice in benchmarks.

However, this only applies to standard non-registered ram, and is also why servers with loads of ram, use registered memory.

My advice, theres not much need to put 2gb in a gaming box, 1gb is enough, and don't put more than 2gb in a standard pc, it's pointless right now.
