A friend of mine only has 256 ram and i want to give her my spare 512 ram. now i know she has ddr ram, what are the chances that my corsair ddr 3700 will work for her ?
i will get back to u with more info when i have it.

Almost positive it will work fine, generally faster ram will aways work at slower speeds.
Althoiugh sometimes some mobos dont like dual sided dimms.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

only trouble is, thats it set at certain timings. Still i reckon it should be cool. thx for the quick reply craig !

It's not set, it has certain timings programmed in but they are not set in stone.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

ive never been a fan of dual ramming, mani probably is right but i would take hers out then put yours in by itself.
