Right, going to be setting up a wireless network for 4 computers (mine included) in my house very soon, as ive never even tried to do wireless before i want to know what id need, and any reccomendations as to make model etc.
Also on a VERY tight budget, so cheap as possible.

Don't forget cheap wireless is pretty awful for gaming and will be affected by loads of things like microwaves and the thickness of the walls in your house etc.

I have a Netgear 108gps Wireless firewall router (I'm on cable too)
Plug cable ethernet into 1 port and has four free Ethernet ports + 108gps wireless
Quite easy to secure reasonably well and speeds seem great most of the time, there's a couple of dead spots in the house though where wireless doesn't work too well but otherwise I have issues with it.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

I'm the same, my pc is hooked up by ethernet along with the ps3, my dads laptop is wireless and so are the rest of the pc's that aren't used for gaming in any form.

Aye only idiots like nego game on wireless , its just so prone to problems its a joke. Fine for your laptop but not for gaming, also don't forget to make it so you have to have a password to access it, or you will have your entire street using your net.
