just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who has put some advice my way with regards to the pc i want to build - I know my thread seemed to go on forever without any ordering going on.

I'll be expecting to see you online in the new year then .. if we ever get internet back.. I am getting inet DT's.

Very nice rig for the price, its tempting me to go quad core now... but i must resist....

Ive not seen you online since the BF2 days Re0 old buddy.

all i play is TF2 tbh - although I have Crysis and COD4 waiting for my new Pc

I think the only thing i really saved money on is the mobo and i'm yet to buy a monitor, ill be sure to order a 22" one soon enough tho.

I hope I don't get no probs with it, for the cash I think i've done quite good. Seeing as i gave my myself a £600 pound marker.

gunna order this keyboard - as much as I want a G15 ill never pay £60 odd quid for a keyboard


just seen THIS set up on overclockers - not a great deal of difference to mine

Mobo supports.... Pentium 4, Celeron D, Pentium Extreme Edition, Pentium D, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme

Doesn't mention Core 2 Quad? Might still work, but P965 is an OLD chipset so I don't know tbh.

i guess ill have to get this mobo bit gay - its an extra £50

or is this one just as good?

It says on ebuyer it supports quad core, but doesnt list core 2 quad in the compatible processors. I reckon you should be ok tbh. I have an asus p5k and im sure i remember it supporting quad core.

Just ordered this mobo its an extra 30 pound but id rather be sure than have all this debate.. well actually it cost nearly £40 more what with postage as its a whole new order.



seems a better board tho tbh.
