Looking at getting some new gaming headphones for playing the usual games and talking with mateys on vent. Giving my old microsoft sidewinder headset to my brother. Gonna invest in a new set, but not sure which ones to go for out of these four...

Steel Series 5h v2

Sennheiser 161

Razer Barracude HP-1

Creative Fatal1ty

Any suggestions/ideas?

Cheers.

I still use my Medusa HP's aswell, nice but as kev says they are a bit heavy, tend to heat up your ears after a bit aswell ( that might be just cause ive got big ears though )

Well whats your budget, what will you be using them for.
Will you be listining to music, will it be flacc or lossless.
What soundcard do you use, is it onboard ?

**** those headphones, if money is no object and you wont be using them on your pc and you have your own valve headphone amp then these babies are the ones to go for.

I went for the razer baracuda's in the end.

Won't really be listening to music on them, just for gaming really.

I've got a creative soundblaster audigy sound card.

I got my razers, but the mic was shit, really bad quality in vent, humming noises in the background, and the headphones were designed for people with small heads cos after 10 mins+ they started really peircing the side of your head, lol. I've therefore sent it back along with the razer sound card i bought. Put my old creative audigy back in and i've ordered some sennheiser 131's instead, should be coming today!

Yeah, i was going to get those but i've gone off the whole idea of the headphones with the big ear cups. I prefer the sit on ones like my old microsoft sidewinder game voice, which to this day are still working other then a broken mic holder. Isn't bad at all considering i bought them in May 2002.
