I fancy having a bit of play with the forum, does anyone specifically miss any features from other forums that aren't on here?

First up I think I'll add the ability to subscribe and get emails when a thread is updated.

Any requests?

If you do do this is there any chance you could add it to games as well? so i can flag the games i am intrested in (say fall out) and get emails when news posts related to that game is posted?

maybe even have a section of news that i may be interested in on the home page (like the latest post but only showing stuff i said i am into?)

not strictly forum i know, but on a data-mining thing you would get games people are into as a return (numbers of peeps who like game x etc) so you could focus reviews/adverts on that game or what ever.

I had a request from someone for you to be able to filter news by console... like DS, Xbox, PC etc.. so you can see new news based on your console of choice or just browse old ones based on a platform etc.

Yes Grant, The flags so you can filer by console are already in place, it's one of the things that's bee on the to-do list for ages.

It will get done, but it's not necessarily forum related.

Yup, also been on to-do list for ages.

I know it's not forum related but then the forum doesn't really need that much work ? Dunno... I like it clean and simple. The e-mail updates would be good though. I just thought i'd pass on what other people were asking for while you're in a fix-it-mood.

would it be possible to add a spoiler tag? so if someone wants to post something in like the film forum people have to drag there mouse over it to be able to see it. Even if you could add white as a text colour you could have stuff like "i thought blahblahfilm was awesome altho the bit where (have this text in white so people who aint interested in it dont read it) was a bit lame".

That would rely on the person using it properly though. I'm not sure i'd want to visit those forums incase someone lets something slip 'cause they've not tagged it properly
