k Felon for starters try this site, theres some good cmds here to get more fps: Click here I set my rate 20000, cl_cmdrate 80, cl_updaterate 80. Another thing i'd recommend is making ure cfg file read only becuase i found that every time i set my rates perfect & everythin was fine i'd go on another server & my cfg would go tits up again :/

yer, sort out a config file. One othe rthing that is vital to make sure you have set is 'cl_smooth 0' The game is horribly jerky with it set to 1 and goodness knows why it's set at 1 as default. One thing though is that CS:S is very processor hungry.

v true scrappy, dunno how i forgot cl_smooth :/ i also have all the gfx settings set to low apart from shadows which i have on. which improves fps but still lets u see their shadows (or is it...see em thru boxes? hhmm....)
