Have it on pre-order for a long time now, fell in love with total war games since "shogun", Medievil-total war let me down with no real improvements on shogun but from what ive read and seen about "Rome-Total war" its going to be alot more interesting and exciting atleast i hope

Played the war on the demo, overview of the battle to start is pretty good.
Gfx/animation are decent and frame rates were good. Id deffo give the full game a look.
You get a pretty decent list of your units, remaining in each unit etc, which gives you a quick indication of how things are going. You can also use this to select units.
There are just the two battle on the demo, and one of these is a tutorial. Just a demo of the battle system really, so how the rest of it works we will habe to wait and see.
It could end up an updated very of the last two title with little extra in the way of gameplay, but as I aint played the previous 2 this probably wouldnt put me off.

Tried it, found it a bit boring. Those that are into war games etc will surely find it fun thouh.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

old thread but yeh i have this game. it rocks!!! altho im confused about 1 bit.. it wont let me take over the whole of the countries coz theres a limit on how many settlements i can take soooo
