Pilot only aint good, need people to be versatile and able to play any map in any role. We play plenty of maps with no planes on, the 3 main maps we play all have no planes. :/

I know for a fact my opinions do mean something in gS, if they didnt I wouldn't be here. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this is a forum afterall; a place designed for people to express opinions. Shanes decision is the only one that matters and I will support any decision Shane makes, regardless of whether I think it's the right decision or not.

I had no intention of upsetting Mo in any way, I was merely stating what imo is a pretty obvious fact: Pilot only players are not as beneficial to the squad as a whole compared to someone who is willing (its not a matter of skill) to do both. Especially when most of the time we don't play on maps with planes. Yes in this thread he said "best position Pilot" which implies preferably he'd be a pilot, but on IRC he seemed unwilling to do infantry work;

I realised when posting that he may infact be willing to do Infantry work, but I decided if that was the case then he wouldn't be offended by my post because it would not apply to him.

I was in no way passing judgement over Mo or saying he shouldn't join or wouldn't get in, thats Shanes decision. I was trying to help the guy, informing him his chances of getting in would be reduced if he was only willing to fly planes. I dont think thats harsh at all, maybe I was a little blunt but that post was in no way offensive imo. If he is willing to do ground work then great, that means he's versatile which means he's more likely to get in. On the other hand Shane may decide we could do with a pilot only player, again that's his decision not mine and I would never question that. I apologise if I was blunt , I did not mean to upset mo at all. However I don't get what all the fuss is about tbh, I wasn't offensive in any way whatsoever, I was just trying to help the guy and I get a shit load of grief for it. Makes no sense to me.

At the end of the day it IS my decision on who joins/doesnt, by I also value the opinions of all my other members.

Yes I am looking to recruit another pilot and yes I feel we need another pilot, we are intending to start playing 16v16 man wars and a lot of maps have 2 jets.

To be honest I feel the team has a lot of members with strong personalitys and I think that's a great thing and also we are able to bicker and moan with each other and usually discuss it and get it over and done with aswell.

Now Mo is saying he is a Pilot only but also I remember saying to me he is also a pretty handy on the ground, obviously we play a lot of urban maps where there are no jets at all so if Mo wants to fly only he is going to miss out on a fair few games.

It is my decision on recruits and recruitment and also my decision if I want to let Mo join.
