yeah it's not that short really. It's worth the price of the game just for the multiplayer if you ask me though.

It's a little short but not too bad... it is taking longer to get through on hardcore rather than casual as well.

Is there added content to Harcore over Casual? Maybe a different ending?

No added content on hardcore, its just tougher.. have to play slower else you die Don't know about the ending as I've not played so much since the weekend. Has anyone noticed some of it seems a little rushed? Sound bugs such as the rain going quiet, voices going quiet so you have to read the subtitles and if you skip the cut scenes you sometimes get no textures for a while till they load. I've also got suck once but eventually got free.

I've noticed the sounds bugs yeah, thought it was just my shoddy TV. I've only had one missing texture after spinning round real fast after a checkpoint, guess it was still loading.
Had a problem with one of the wrenches, killed it and it's corpse started having a fit in it's own pool of blood. Then it's arm split in two and continued going mad. Or is that supposed to happen? I wasn't treading on it or anything.

On the subject of it loading textures on the fly, im quite impressed by how little loading time there is in the game in general. It's easy to overlook but having fired up some other game afterwards it was quite noticeable how I was sat watching a loading screen far more often. You can often hear the dvd drive thrashing about loading stuff while you are still playing so it obviously does a lot of background loading - not that you can notice it while playing.

Yeah, you get dicked if you keep your head out for 5 seconds! I have to blind shoot alot and blind grenade. Aiming a grenade is normally suicide! Insane is VERY fun in Co-op though, teamwork really shows

The good thing about the 360 vs past consoles is that now if a game is rushed they can patch it, whereas before you were just left with lots of annoying issues. So i wouldn't be too fussed about the "rushed" feeling

It depends, it's nice for the multiplayer game to get bug fixes and improved but by the time they fix the single player bugs I'm probably not going to be playing it anymore.

The whole point in consoles is quality games WITHOUT having to download patches. These 'next gen' consoles have destroyed everything, but hey, as long as the PC gamers are happy.

I agree, much rather have a game in development for a few more months and be a solid non-rushed console release. GoW looks impressive and by all accounts seems to be well designed, but you would be naive to think they weren't under huge pressure to release at the same time as PS3

The only thing that bugs me about GoW is the voice coms... if you join a game in progress you can hear everyone else but not chat. You have to join the game the moment it's created for all voices to work which means inviting mates to join is a nightmare as you have to reset the game to hear them.
Hopefully they'll fix it in a patch but other than that I can't think of anything that would put me off re-purchasing it if I had to.

Hmm, can understand what you're saying, but I dont think its a bad feature to have as long as its not abused. Without a feature like that if there were bugs in a console game it couldnt be fixed. When dealing with such complex systems and code inevitably minor issues can be overlooked no matter how thoroughly its tested, makes sense to have a system in place to fix those. But yer tis annoying with developers get lazy because they know they can fall back on online updates.

Finally finished it on Insane difficulty (coop). Some real tough parts along the way... of the non-multiplay achievements I think I'm only missing the 30/30 cog tags and the 10x3kills in one. Not got any online achievements yet
