I got my Veterans in one round in Songhua Stalemate. I admit.. I initially had a hard time to. But did it on this map. Great map for mines. Plus I snuck into enemy camps and planted C4 in the blawkhawk and in the seats of transports. Also put c4 on top of any armour you see. Just hide and wait!. You don't need to see the vehicle take off. Just listen.You will see on your HUD if any friendly's are around so you don't TK them. Usually easier to I found if you find a game a map that isn't totally full. They last longer and give you more time to get your badge. If you put c4 in the helo's.... wait for it to fly away for a bit. If a squad is in it, it gives them a bit of time to spawn into the helo. Also remember, you can put a mine on top of a tank or APC. When it leaves, the mine falls and boom! This is a good one too because even if you die.... the mine still remains there for a while before it disapears. I personally like the mines in the seats of cars or on top of Armour. They can't see it in the car most of time. They just see a transport and jump in. Not to many people jump up to see if their is c4 or mines on top of armour too. Although you may get a tk if friendly's jump in. But they at least see the explosives warning. Not much you can do about that. Just hope they don't punish you. Everyone I have told these tactics to get their badge in no time at all.. Trust me it works! Have fun blowing stuff up!!!

Though it isn't the best way, I earned my VET explosive badge by putting C4 on a truck and driving it into a group of enemy on a Karkand map. Did this over and over jumping out of the truck and blowing us all to hell. Even though I killed myself a few times I still got the badge. I guess due to killing myself I had to get a few extra C4 kills but in the end I got the Veteran badge. Now if I can figure out how to get the Expert explosive badge?

I'm assuming they change it in the last patch then, coz you used to have to do it without hurting yourself or your team mates. Which tbh was more or less impossible.

I think we figured that one out already.

Well I got my veterans Explosive badge on Nov 23/05. I know for a fact that killing yourself in a suicide run didn't reset me back to zero at that point. (which I believe was after the last patch? Sorry haven't verified that) With the confusion about having it reset for a tk, again shows that placing C4 only on vehicles of any kind is the safest way to try for it. Hide and use your HUD to make sure no friendly's having taken the vehicle. I have found the best place to put it is inside the vehicle. You also only need 1 C4 to destroy a car, instead of 2 for a helo and tank/apc. The point here when C4'ing a land vehicle is not to blow it right away. Then they aren't sure if the C4 was on the vehicle or on the road. This gives ya a better chance of blowing them up again

Again however, it is easier to find a game that is about 3/4 full. The games can run much longer giving you more time to try for it.

Hey Mani... yep! I must have qualified for the basic a dozen times. Tried a few times for the expert, but 37 kills is a tough one. Then again it should be tough for any expert badge. I probably would have had my expert badges already for Spec ops, Medic but I am a cheap shit and don't want to pay for the special forces kit lol.

Speaking of shock paddles, here is something I just found out you can do. One roun on Karkand I was a medic and ran out of all ammo. A US HUMV drove past me and stopped with a driver and a gunner. I snuck up from behind while the gunner was facing forward shooting. I zapped him from standing at the back of the HUMV.... then I zapped the driver from the same position at the back of the HUMV...!!! I didn't know you had that kind of range with the shock paddles..lol... next thing I want to try is to shock a gunner in a tank... that would be fun to. But I have no idea how many times I will buy it before I do it... :s
