The maps were good, hence adding to the gameplay. The cheats are down to the community. The community is shit now yes but that has nothing to do with the gameplay of the game.

Yes CS used to be good 7 years ago, it still is now. It's just been ruined by kids and twats. The only thing dated about the game now is the GFX, which is why so many people still play it.

Note, none of the above is directed at CSS, we all know that's just plain shit.

Dude, nothing in CS has changed except the community. We're on about the games gameplay not the community. Gameplay can't even be dated, only GFX can. It's either good or it isn't. It either works or it doesn't.

The fact that you played it so long shows that the game is good, you just got bored of it and the community.

Bullshit ral utter noobie bullshit, of course gameplay can become dated. And things did change, valve changed the netcode at beta 6.5, the ONLY reason i carried on playing for a while after then was the fact that my friends still played it and i carried on playing in the hope that they would fix what they have ****ed. Not to mention the many gameplay changes they made to it like making it so you cant keep on jumping, of ****ing course things changed and of ****ing course gameplay can become dated.
