Act of War
Resource collection is always a bone of contention with RTS fans, in Act of War you get the option of using oil installations to gain money and you can also occupy a bank with some of your troops, of course the number of banks is limited, your other option is to gain money from taking prisoners, these can be hard to come by which is a bit of a pain as the more standard resources do run out quite quickly.

C&C is the daddy and i feel there hasnt been a decent type of game since, saying that this seem ok actually i may buy it. nice review Si.

i am quite a good fan of c&c but i thought this was so much better althoug im shit at stratergy i think they are great games, as the online experiance goes i though it was exerlent the fort erwin training cente was a great idea u can practice all you what without getting a negative score and then when u think u have enough skill u can go to the war room and fight for higher ranks. This idea i thought was excerlent and it should be put into more games ps please excuse ma spelling

C&C was great, but dont forget other good RTS games like Starcraft & Homeworld!
On this though... i was never impressed much after the demo

i still thought the first Empire Earth was up there with the best but Generals for me has to be at the top.
Also pretty similiar i found to be a cracking game was battle for middle earth. not as much building but you get to use the different heros with diff spells..

Don't be suckered by this title, it's stirfried dogshit.
Sometimes, nice graphics. Some nice ideas in there.
Horribly bad implementation. Utterly mushy unit control. Execrable unit balance. Hokey implementation of superweapons and drones.
Oh, and did I say the unit control was mushy? It's SO mushy and flaky that it makes any kind of micro completely impossible. This game was committee designed, pure and simple, and it seems that they had no RTS players anywhere all along the development and QA chains.
This piece of shit is a complete and utter ripoff. Similar in many ways to Real War I think it was called, if anyone remembers that dog. No excuse at all for how bad this one is. They must have spent all their money on the gigs of shitty, badly acted home movies.
When a game comes out of nowhere like this, try it before you buy it. Game companies and stores like Best Buy-- no return policy on software-- are essentially involved in a collusion theft scheme. The "r

The "review" rags are on the take, so you can't trust any of their lies. The software companies release slickly packaged garbage like this, and then the retail outlets refuse to allow returns. They all work together to sell you a pig in a poke.
I think this review borders on irresponsible in how it just calls this title mediocre. That "Certain Something Missing" that the reviewer can't put his finger on, is called gamplay. It ain't there, and Generals with all its flaws is 100 times the game this one fails to be.
Oh, and I wanted real bad to like this because I'm an urban warfare junkie.

Each to there own m8. The review is written i wrote was honest to my pesonal taste. I didnt find the game brill but its wasnt that crap either it did keep me intrested for a while. But no worries m8 we cant all like the same thing else it would be a funny old world hey  Thnx for the comments tho.
