Wii Impressions
Now bowling my friends is where everyone stands back and just goes 'wow.' It's unbelievable just how realistic this game feels. Playable by up to four with one Wii-mote, this quickly establishes itself as a multi-player classic, with rivalries formed, personal bests to beat, and mastery of spin all things keeping you coming back for more.

Looking forward to having a go on a Wii, really interested to see how it'll play. My brother-in-law's got one, i'll have to pop over.

While it does have novel features with the nunchuck ect as soon as the novelty wears off how will it compete with the other next gen systems should be interesting.

The sensor bar looks weak and flimsy imo and could maybe be prone to breaking, I still think in 12 months time Nintendo will still have that 3rd spot in the console war although it will be a lot tighter.

p.s I dont think my 360 looks ugly

They won't have the 3rd spot they'll have their own spot. The ps3 and 360 will be fighting it out over the nextgen stuff while Nintendo can sit comfortably knowing that there's nothing like their console available elsewhere. All the 360 and ps3 have going for them is the graphics really in terms of just gaming.

Miserable git shane

And the Wii isn't really a next gen console, it's a new console but in terms of raw power it's more akin to an Xbox

It's not a next gen console though. It's basically a gamecube with different controllers and online support and stuff. They're not even aiming it at competing with the 360 and ps3 in that respect. Typical moody comment i'd expect from you Shane.

Sometimes I dont know why I even bother commenting. Site seems to have turned into a Nintendo fanboy site whenever I say anything about the Nintendo that doesnt suit.

Im not going to argue as to whether its nextgen or not, nice review James.

ive not been a fan of nintendo since the snes, i thought the 64 and gamecube were rubbish, but having got my wii today they have impressed me once more, this console is so much fun and i dont think its just a novelty, its a totally diff approach to gaming and is a welcome addition alongside my 360. think ill have alot of fun with this. the wii will finally bring gaming into the mainstream properly i think as anyone can pick up and play this and have fun, u dont need to be a 'geek' to be a gamer anymore.

I've not seen any fanboy comments from anyone shane. Maybe if Nintendo followed suit and dished out the boring 'done before' shit we've been getting from Sony and MS, you'll be more happy? Or maybe hating Nintendo which apparently makes games for children makes you feel more manly

best bet is to have both at the moment - it took a while but finally the 360 is getting some solid games through. Having the choice between Wii for insane fun and 360 for technical marvellry is a brilliant position to be in. As far as I'm concerned the only lose here is Sony, the last one to the prom when everyone already has a partner.

I agree malis, that's exactly what I've done. Keeping the 360 for the 'hardcore' games and the Wii for originality and fun, and all for roughly the price of a PS3 can't be beaten.
