Call of Duty 2 Noticed over on the Allgunsblazing forums some official screenshots of Call of Duty 2. Not much about the game itself mind.

They come from a news post at Planet Call of Duty where there is a little bit of extra, if un-official and un-confirmed info about the game.

I've mirrored slightly lower resolution copies here for convenience.

The more or look at them, the better I think they are, particulary the British-Africa ones, some of them are great.

Some look okay but some look terrible. Hopefully they will improve before release.

most german campaigns were successfull up until 1945 when they lost.
the only reason most german units had to retreat / surrender was because they ran out of ammo .
if the supply haddent been so ****ed up we would be speeking german!

and the allies dident win many battles outright on the first push! most allied attacks were repulsed untill the defenders ran out of ammo, theres even accounts of germans repulsing attacks with pistols and bayonets!

Crete is a perfect example
4000 fallschrimjager jump on crete, they fight against 30,000 Allies for three days with just 36pistol rounds, 2 flare cartridges and a gravity knive each. the odd parratrooper may have had a mp40 with 2 or 4 mag's but other than that they had **** all
(mainly because the weapons they should have had were dropped into the minefeilds and see)

they advanced and took most of the objectives in the three days it took for airsupport and more troops to arrive.

and there are accounts of germans still advanc

*advancing into allied lines in the late weeks of the war

you could have the german campaign at any point of the war!
could be a small FJR unit behind enemy lines attacking at the allied commander (one allied commander "not sure which" withdrew 30,000 men to defend his HQ because of accounts of 20FJ being spotted some 80 miles away! )
Or even a whole SS tank brigade
Hell even a full SS army attacking Stalingrad or Striking towards Moscow

personally i would like to see a german campaign starting from 1938 "invasion of poland" all the way trough to the defence of berlin!

Yes the German army was impressive at times and it was also led very badly at times, but let's not glorify war too much shall we.
