Condition Zero v1.2  by James W at 09:29

steam Yes love it or hate it Condition Zero is with us now and for some people has replaced Counter-Strike. Those that did make the switch will be interested to hear there is an update on the way. The update includes new models and maps and.. (I almost fainted when I read this) new hostage AI! A feature that many of us old CS players would have loved some time ago.

steampowered.com - The improved hostages will show emotions such as fear, attempt to escape on their own if ignored, and even talk to the player to give clues about what they've seen.
You can find two screenshots from one of the new maps below:

*update*
CSNation have an interview with Valve's Jess Cliffe about the Condition Zero update. It looks at the new maps and models and includes some new screenshots too.

I doubt it, its essentially a different game with all the changes. Would be nice if some of the CZ changes made it to normal CS but I dont think it makes finacial sense for Valve to do that.

Well when they offically announced they were working on CZ. They said those who brought CZ could play online with the CS Mod people, but it would look nicer obviously. This is one of the reason they introduced the sheild.

Just updated the post with an interview link, the screenshots look nice.. its a shame they cant just ditch CS or update CS to be like CZ. I really dont see much reason to pay for CZ multiplayer with CS Source on the horizon.
