Seems the 2nd patch for the excellent FarCry isn't too far away.

Perhaps more important news is the imminent release of the Mod SDK, this game has so much potential if we get a few talented mod teams working on it.

Though with Doom3 and Half-life2 also due for release soon, I can't help feeling that Far-Cry has missed the boat. You can be more or less sure that both these games will ship with mod making tools.

Interesting times ahead for us FPS gamers.

<hr noshade size=1 width=100%>Time to break out the champagne, we have some good news regarding the much requested Mod SDK and Dedicated servers.

* Patch 1.2 will be released during the first half of June.
* The Mod SDK will be released around the middle of June.
* The dedicated Windows and Linux servers will be released later in June.

As soon as we get more news on these releases, it will be posted here.

	I agree in this day and age the SDK released when the game was launced. The sandbox editor which was released with the game is pretty good and should allow some nice maps to be produced, so having the SDK should hopefully get the ball rolling as far as mods is concerned.

	Saw a mod site the other day that had been planning to create a Far Cry mod...however, the delays in releasing the SDK software meant they were rather pissed off and decided to sack it off altogether. I assume they're now gonna go with HL2 and Doom3.
