IO Interactive and Square Enix have today announced that their 'brutal crime shooter' sequel Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will ship to retail this August, the 24th in North America and the 27th.

"We believe the unique visuals and relentless gameplay has created an intensity never delivered in a videogame before," said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive. "In a genre where so many games look and feel the same, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will make people double-take. We think it’s going to make quite an impression."
