Championship Manager 5 release date  by Craig D at 10:50

PC
Eidos have announced that Championship Manager 5 will hit reatail in the UK on Friday 18th March. Not long to go for you footy management sim lovers. You'll soon be trying to stop Jose Mourinho and his Chelski team winning everything.

Championship Manager 5 is the most realistic and engaging version ever, with major developments in the match engine, tactics and training. CM5 will deliver the same depth and detail as before, yet with much faster loading and gameplay. The simulation uses multiple data sources – fan scouts, internal researchers and professional agencies including OptaTM – to ensure greater objectiveness and accuracy of data than ever before.

I might give cm5 a go, but just remember Eidos only own the name they dont own the rights to the code, this belongs to SI. Therefore Football Manager 2005 is the true follow up to cm4.

Though bgs have made a number of sports titles ithe past though, and im pretty sure they will be 'borrowing' all the good features of the earlier cm games.

It will be interesting to see which game comes out on top.
