EA have today announced that they have signed Double Fine Productions, Inc's rock-music themed third person action/adventure title Brutal Legend. The game which was originally scheduled to be published by Sierra before their merger with Activision will now see the light of day in the Autumn of 2009.

Some people were starting to wonder if the saga of Eddie Riggs would ever see the light of day, but now I think it’s clear that this game, like Metal itself, cannot be killed!"
