There's a new community update on the official Battlefield2 site.In it, Lawrence Brown, Battlefield Mod Support Coordinator shows off some details of the BF2 editor which will be released to the public shortly before the game ships.
It would seem DiCE and EA are taking mod support even more seriously than usual.
Unlike the package of separate tools that were released for Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam, the BF2 Editor consolidates all the tools a Modder will need into "subsections" of one Editor, allowing you to do pretty much everything from the same application.
From one who's dabbled with mod tools before, this truly does look awesome.
I imagine we'll be seeing many more mods in BF2, which is both a good and a bad thing.
