World of Warcraft Reaches 11 Million Subscriber Landmark  by Craig D at 18:47

PC
World of Warcraft Blizzard Entertainment have today announced that their almost ubiquitous MMORPG World of Warcraft has nwo reached the 11 million subscriber landmark. With the games' second expansion 'Wrath of the Lich King' due on November 13th the WoW world appears to be set for many more months and years of success.

"It’s been very rewarding to see gamers around the world continue to show such strong support for World of Warcraft," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment®. "We remain fully committed to responding to that enthusiasm with a high-quality, constantly evolving game experience."

Interestingly, the 11 million figure only includes what could reasonably be considered as current subscribers.

Warhammer's replaced WoW big time for me. The new WoW patch is just stuff from warhammer anyway... titles and world pvp and attacking major towns. Except War does it better ! Warrrggh !
