Wii Sports Resort Announced & Screenshots  by James B at 19:45

This will be big. Nintendo have announced the sequel to the system seller Wii Sports, the summer themed Wii Sports Resort. The title will feature a new accessory: Wii MotionPlus, which will enhance movement controls with the Wii Remote.

Wii Sports Resort takes place on a tropical island. A wide range of activities will keep players coming back for one more round. Some sample activities include Sword Play, Power Cruising (racing a water scooter) and Disc Dog, which involves accurately tossing a disc to a cute, Mii-like dog.

What's funny is that Wii Sports was just a simple demo of what the Wii could potentially do, but was better made and more fun that most full games. Expecting the same level of polish with this release too
