Apparently Grand Theft Auto IV has now managed to sell more than 6 million units inside it's first week, this has an estimated retail value of $500 million, not bad at all and you can see why Rockstar and 2K Games are pleased.

While we're on the subject of GTA IV, Microsoft today fired back at Sony by pointing out that the Xbox 360 version of the game has outsold the Playstation 3 title in the UK by 20%, 514,000 to 413,000. Quite what we're suppose to get from that statistic I don't know. Maybe it just reinforces the stereotype of 360 gamers as teenage boys and adult males? That's who's playing GTA IV right?
