E3 2004: Battlefield 2  by Shane L at 21:18

bf2 Well our resident web guru Mani is a huge lover of Battlefield 1942, and I know he is waiting with baited breath on news for battlefield 2 and a preview/review of Battlefield 2 has been done by the boys over at IGN and it is well worth a read,

Currently the team is promising support for 100 players. Suspecting that things might tend to get a bit confusing trying to coordinate the actions of 50-person teams, the developers have added new squad associations. The position of other members of your squad is displayed right in the game window with small green arrows. This helps to keep people together. You can issue orders (suggestions, really) to members of your team and you'll get waypoints and smoke grenades to mark the new position. There's also a large overhead command map that you can use to issue orders to your squad.

Indeed this looks like the making of a blockbuster, anyway head over to here to read more.

Well given that the DC guys are involved in this and Mani wasnt much of a fan of DC, he might yet be dissapointed with it.
